Ka Wai (Carrie) Cheng - Clinical Psychologist
Carrie is a warm and professional psychologist with more than 10 years of clinical experience in Hong Kong. She has worked with persons with intellectual disabilities in rehabilitation settings and with children, adolescents and families in community settings.
Carrie has been working in private practice in NSW for 2 years. Her specialties include emotional disorders, abuse and trauma, relationship issues, parenting problems, grief and loss. She also has extensive experience in performing cognitive assessments for children and adults, and preparing victim impact or presentencing reports for courts.
Carrie takes an empathetic and non-judgmental approach in supporting her clients through their difficulties, identifying their strengths and taking practical steps towards their goals.
Carrie works with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds and provides a wide range of therapies including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), narrative therapy, mindfulness-based therapy and emotion-focused therapy. Â She is registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
